Branded Short Links & Core Features

Qubit Link helps you create memorable URLs using your own custom domains that build trust and increase CTR.

To create a branded short link:

  1. Click the Create Link button in the top-right corner of the Links page.
  2. Destination URL: Paste the long URL you want to shorten (e.g., https://myshop.com/products/summer-sale-2024).
  3. Short Link:
    • Domain: Choose qubitl.ink or your connected custom domain.
    • Alias: Enter a custom alias (e.g., summer-sale) or leave blank for a random string.
  4. Description (Optional): Add a note or meta description for your reference and SEO.
  5. Tags: Assign tags to organize your links (e.g., "Social", "Q4 Campaign").

Advanced Settings​

Take full control of your links with these powerful options available during creation or editing:

1. UTM Builder​

Automatically append UTM parameters to track reliable analytics.

  • Click the UTM tab.
  • Select a Template (e.g., Facebook Ad) or enter custom values for Source, Medium, Campaign, Term, and Content.

2. Smart Targeting​

Redirect users to different destinations based on their context.

  • Device Targeting: Send iOS users to the App Store and Android users to Google Play.
  • Geo-Targeting: Redirect visitors from specific countries (e.g., "Canada") to a localized page (e.g., myshop.ca).

3. Protection & Expiry​

  • Password Protection: Require visitors to enter a password before accessing the link.
  • Expiration Date: Set a specific date and time for the link to stop working. You can specify a fallback URL for expired traffic.
  • Cloaking: Hide the original URL from the browser's address bar (Pro feature).

Bulk Creation​

Need to create many links at once?

  1. Click the arrow next to "Create Link" and select Bulk Create.
  2. Upload a CSV file or paste multiple long URLs.
  3. The system will generate short links for all of them instantly.

Manage your library efficiently using the toolbar:

  • Search: Find links by alias, original URL, or description.
  • Filter: Drill down by Tags, Date Created, or Link Status (Active/Archived).
  • Export: Download your link data to CSV for external analysis.

Dynamic QR Codes​

Every link comes with a fully customizable QR code.

  1. Click the QR Code icon next to any link.
  2. Customize: Change the foreground/background dots, eye frame colors, and shape style.
  3. Logo: Upload your brand logo to place in the center (Pro feature).
  4. Download: Save as SVG (for print) or PNG (for web).

QR Codes are Dynamic. You can change the destination URL of the short link at any time, and the printed QR code will continue to work perfectly.
